Asbestos Inspections
RMS’s qualified staff inspects and identifies suspect asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). An asbestos-containing material survey is conducted by a trained and licensed inspector and the scope of work typically involves:
- A visual inspection for asbestos
- Sampling for Asbestos
- Asbestos Analysis
- Summary Report
Asbestos Abatement
RMS can provide all labor to perform asbestos management services, which include supplying Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and state-certified asbestos workers and supervisors for the abatement of the asbestos-containing materials, as well as a state-certified air sampling technician to collect final clearance air samples after the completion of abatement activities, in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulations.
Following abatement, RMS can prepare a letter report documenting all activities, which will include documentation of materials abated/removed, air sampling results and asbestos-containing waste disposal documentation.
LBP Building Inspections
RMS carefully and precisely tests all types of painted surfaces to determine if your residence or commercial property is at risk of lead-based paint (LBP) and LBP exposure. We use proven methods to accurately measure the level of lead contamination painted onto your walls, cabinets, windowsills, staircases, windows and other surfaces.
LBP Abatement/Remediation
RMS can provide all labor, equipment, and materials to manage LBP abatement/remediation activities, where the following steps are taken to manage the LBP areas:
- Wet scrape areas of loose and flaking paint from applicable surfaces;
- Remove waste paint and paint debris for off-site disposal through methods to include HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) vacuuming; and
- Encapsulation of scraped surfaces.
Work areas are secured by poly barriers to prevent migration of dust and debris outside of work areas. On-site workers will wear appropriate personal protective equipment and perform all work in accordance with the USEPA’s Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) regulations.
Following the completion of lead paint abatement activities, RMS can provide an EPA-certified and state-licensed Lead Risk Assessor to complete a visual clearance, in order to document site conditions following abatement.
Mold & Water Intrusion Inspections
RMS’s professionals follow all appropriate guidelines and recommendations provided by the EPA, as well as state and local governments to measure and identify various types of mold and any water intrusion.
